2012 Service Pipefitter Application Dates
Mpls. and St. Cloud Service Pipefitter Applications: Acceptance of applications for the Service Pipefitter program is set for Monday, January 9, 2012 through Friday, January 20, 2012. Applications will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday at the Minneapolis Pipefitters JAC Training Center located at 6200 Lakeland Avenue North, Brooklyn Park. Applications will not be mailed, you must apply in person to obtain an application. **Note, you must have a high school diploma from a U.S. high school, or a MN issued GED, clean driving record, and have graduated or will graduate with a 2-year degree from a technical college in commercial and residential HVACR by May/June 2012 to apply for this program. Please click on the Applications tab for more information regarding the application process.
Applicants are encouraged to bring the following 3 items to apply and prior to testing: 1) a copy of their Driver's License, 2) a 2-year Transcript from their Technical College, and 3) their High School Diploma/Transcript or MN State issued G.E.D. at the time of testing. Copies will NOT be taken by the JAC. Applicants must bring their own copies to leave with their application. No faxed or mailed items will be accepted. All required attachments to the application must be received no later than 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2010. If not received, application will be considered incomplete, and applicant will have to reapply the following year. See application tab for more information.
** Applicants can do their testing at a specified time on the day they apply if they have turned in a completed application with all attachments and if spots are available, or can sign up for a future test time. Testing takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.

Applications will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday at the Minneapolis Pipefitters JAC Training Center located at 6200 Lakeland Avenue North, Brooklyn Park. Applications will not be mailed, you must apply in person to obtain an application.
Applicants must have a U.S. High School Diploma or a MN GED State Certificate to apply. No technical college courses are required to apply. Orientation & Class Start Dates
Classes for apprentices start in September. Apprentices will receive their class schedule at Orientation. BRING A PEN TO ORIENTATION TO FILL OUT YOUR PAPERWORK!
Orientation will be held at the Training Center in Room 204
Apprentices must pay for their tuition and book fees at Orientation. The Orientation Schedule is as follows:
•5th Year Service & Construction - Date and time to be announced
•4th Year Service & Construction - Date and time to be announced
•3rd Year Service & Construction - Date and time to be announced
•2nd Yr Construction Classes - Date and time to be annonced
•1st Year Construction & 2nd Year Service - Date and time to be announced
If any apprentice cannot attend orientation, then arrangements prior to the night of orientation must be made with Roger to attend a different orientation by calling the training center between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Anyone who does not call prior to their orientation date and misses orientation will be charged with 30 attendance points. Anyone over 15 minutes late will not be allowed to attend orientation, will receive an absence, and will have to make arrangements with Roger to attend another orientation night.
2011/2012 Apprentice Work Progress Card Deadlines
Work progress cards are due the 2nd working day of every month. The report, for those who are late 90 days or over, is generated at 8 a.m., on the 2nd Wednesday, of every month. Even if you are not working, you must still submit a Work Progress Card each month.
